Treasure Chest!

It Was Ashtons 3rd Birthday party last weekend and he wanted a Pirate theme, and i came up with doing a Treasure Chest cake! It was my first birthday cake i have made and i think it turned out pretty darn awsome!! And he loved it

This weekends productivity

Phew i have had a busy weekend!! Ive had a few private ordrs, the latest: some Dora finger puppets. They are the hardest hting ive ever made! so fidly ( especially swiper) and gettign them to look as close as possible to the original characters is so much harder than it looks. But i am stoked with the result, except dora looks a little Asian haha.




I have also been busy making up some lunch boxes for an Online store i am going to be stocking through. All will be revealed soon!

Yarny Goodness

So my disaster of a dishcloth i the only thing i have ever knitted, but the boot up my bum to learn came from wanting to be invloved in the TNN Yarn swap.

The aim of the game is to create a package based on a theme of your choice including hand dyed yarn, pattern, gift and paper work of some discription.

Here is the package i made : Theme "Chocolat"

Drying the yarn after dying it, shaded of white, milk and dark chocolate


All rolled up into balls:


The whole package: i included the book "chocolat" as a gift, pattern for coasters plus all the ingredients to make chilli hot chocolate and the recipe in a french inspired mug.


And the swap i recieved: Theme "Harry Potter" ( my all time fav books!)

All together: Yarn dyed in shades of bertie botts every flavour beans, a box of "every flavour beans" , the book "Tales of beedle the bard" and the pattern for some groovy longies and a portable courlron! ( wooly hat for Flynn)

Cant wait for the next swap!!!!!! ( infact i am waiting for my pincushion swap, and have just signed up to a "Gruffalo" swap and a handcraft swap hahaha)

I wanted to show you the beautiful Nappy i recieved yesterday from Kate Modelled by Flynn ( 6.5 months and 9.5 kgs)

She hand paints nappies for her OOAK collections, this is from her Antiques collection.

I cant wait to see her new collections during the GDUNH in March!

More farm animals

Your probably sick of seeing them by now but heres another set of farm animal finger puppets i made for an order, with the inclusion of a goat and an emu! hehe oh and the chicken i changed to front on to match the others better

I am determined to learn how to knit, so i spent some time on the net, watched some videos and taught myself!!

Hahahahahahahahahahah, gorgoues isnt it????? The Good news is now i know what i am doing, so next time will be MUCH better.
