Unicorn

Im pretty sure she is the best yet!!! Shes taken me twice as long as any of the others as i had to design the shape from scratch, figure out how to do her mane, stuff the legs as i went (too skinny to stuff after all sewn up) but i think it was ALL worth the effort.

Mermaid!

My Mermaid turned out a little more SKINNY than i wanted ( just remember that once stuffed, toys become ALOT skinnier) but gorgeous all the same!

She has a shell bra, embroidered belly button, scaley tail and long flowy hair ( golden brown with a few bluey/green highlights ;) )

First attempt at a tutu

Its a good friend of mine's daughters 2nd birthday this weekend (THAT was a mouthful) and i thought i would attempt to make her a tutu from Fleas gorgeous "Recipe" it was ALOT harder than i thought it would be but i think i was using the wrong kind of elastic. Needed to use quite a lot more tulle than the recipe stated though (lucky i bought 3 colours instead of 2) Here is the result (i reallyneed to sort out my lighting issues) i used a turquoise, pink and purple colour sceme with pink and purple ribbons to tie it up.

Craft 2.0!!!

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I was soo excited to be going to Craft 2.0 last saturday. I got all the family up and out of the house to drive to Lower Hutt by 10 to be one of the first 50 in the door ( REALLY wanted a goody bag). When we got there though you had to queue up tight stairs to get up to the second floor to get a goody bag! we had the buggy with Ashton in it ( no way were we letting him loose in there haha) and i had Flynn in the Moby, so couldnt get up the stairs and by the time we decided that i would wiat in line while Rob stayed with Ash a whole barge load of pushy stampeeding women had pushed past us so there was NO WAY we would be one of the firt 50. So gutted!!!!

So many beautiful things!! Here were my purchases

A Geek Freaks purse and felt badge (with free mini badge) , a World Sweet World magazine (such a cool mag, i shouldve bought the back issues too) and a cool cassette felt badge (can you tell i like felt and badges? haha)

I used Blanket stitch to sew around the body this time instead of normal stitching and then trying to turn the felt inside out (soooo hard) . Was much easier and looks ALOT tidier. LOVE Spikes cheaky face too.

Next Project: Ballerina "Smiley Thing"
